A little late, I know. Anyways, I chose this fanfic for the day because it's a really good dark/sad fanfic. It's not like Cupcakes dark. It's...kinda what you could call psychologically dark. What's also great about this fanfic is you don't need to have ever played Silent Hill or even know anything about it to enjoy this fanfic. Hell if if weren't for the crossover tag, you might not even know it's a crossover. This story was very well written and as you read, it leaves you wondering what's going to happen next. I give this a 9/10 for being a unique fanfic.

How about a creepypasta/grimdark one today? How about what introduced me to the fandom. That's right. This bloody story is the first thing I ever saw in the fandom. It was one day when I was playing Garry's Mod that a friend had linked me the EQD Cupcakes page and told me to read it. He said it was disturbing as fuck and I thought "Might as well see what's so horrific about it" and I gave it a read. As I read it, my thoughts were "Ookay...". I wasn't really disturbed by it, I just didn't expect something like that. A little weird. I'd give this an 8/10 for being such a well known fanfic in the fandom and also being what introduced me to EQD (best introduction ever!)

I chose this fanfic because this was one of those few that I really started following in my early brony days. Everyday, before and after school, I'd always check the story updates hoping to see an update to the story. I remember when it had finally been two weeks since the last update. I'd checked and STILL hadn't seen an update. I was really sad when I realized it was abandoned. Like yesterday's fanfic, this one gets a 9/10, this one for leaving me wanting more and more and always giving me something to look forward to in upcoming story updates.

Today's fanfic is a very special one. This is the first fanfic I remember reading (if you don't count Cupcakes, but that's a story for another day). It was back when there was only a handful of fanfics that I read. Among them was this. It was when I was still new to the fandom and hadn't seen too many episodes. One of the funniest parts of reading it was when I saw Trixie, I didn't know that Trixie was a mare. I didn't understand the mare/mare fanfics. Still, I continued reading on and in the end, it was a great story. I remember checking EQD on my grandmothers computer (which has dialup), waiting about 10 minutes for it to load up, and seeing the final chapter posted. I was so excited, I waited 30 minutes for the computer to finally load the story. And I can easily say it had been worth the wait. I'd give this a 9/10 for being a great introduction to fanfiction and making me read more than I already did (which I read a lot, since that was back when I was a bookworm).

I've decided to add a new daily post to the schedule. My fanfic of the day. What I will do is pick a fanfic that I've read (and enjoyed) before to be the fanfic of the day, explain why I picked it, and tell a little about my experience reading it. Simple as that.

Anyways, the reason for my choosing of this fanfic is because I'd started reading this back when I didn't have a whole ton of fanfics in my read later list that I'll never get around to reading. It was one where I read the description and became quite interested. When I started reading it, I absolutely fell in love with it. I kept reading it all day, everyday, starting when I walked to the bus stop, when I got on the bus, when I got to school, and often, I'd sneak it out and start reading it in class, and then on the bus ride back, continuing when I'd get home. This is one of the few fanfics I'd give a 10/10 for really drawing me into it and for being amongst my favorite fanfics of all time.
